Match Report 2007

Date: 21/04/2007, 2pm (Norton Playing Fields)

2007 brought a return to the event of the 13 aside full length game (as opposed to the 9s tournament the previous year). A solid turnout by the Old Boys, producing a team which spanned several generations, made for a fairly even and well contested game.

Kieran Shanahan was the star of the show, using his experience gained from half a season down at Sheffield Hillsborough Hawks, romping home to several long distance tries, with the University side unable to deal with his strength and pace.

Final score: No-one can remember, but the Old Boys were victorious and brought the www.cheapboilers.com Old Boys trophy back to it's rightful home on the www.cheapboilers.com mantlepiece.

(Sorry, that's all we've got - everyone got pissed, can't remember the score, and then we left it so long that no-one can remember anything about the game.)
